FEED THE CHILDREN - March 2010

For the third year in a row, Mariner's Church chose feeding the hungry as an important outreach mission, and they selected "Feed The Children" as the vehicle to help them provide nourishment, both physical and spritual, to the community. On Saturday, March 6, 2010, hundreds of volunteers unloaded four tractor trailers stuffed with boxes of food and personal hygiene items into smaller trucks for distribution. The members of Mariner's delivered to approximately 1000 households located in the Annapolis housing authority communities. A portion of the food was given to Food Link to help other struggling neighbors. Representatives of Food Link recipient agencies were given hundreds of boxes to meet the need for their programs and clients reaching another 400 families.
