Food Link gala raises $3,000 for charity (February 2008)

Friends of Food Link held it second annual "Have a Heart, Lend a Hand" Gala Feb. 2 at the Sheraton Hotel in Annapolis. The event raised about $3,000 for Food Link, In., the largest food and resource rescue organization in Anne Arundel County and four other counties on the Eastern Shore.

Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner, dancing to live music by Off the Record, and both a silent and live auction.

Next year's gala will be again scheduled for February.

* A Jazz Brunch was held recently by Julie St. Marie, the winning bidder on a "home concert" provided by local Jazz Guitarist, Rob Levit. [See photos]
